Canneto…
formed by two distinct hamlets, ‘Soprano’ (upper) and ‘Sottano’ (lower) Canneto, still maintains today its rural agricultural origins. With only a few stone houses which even today give off the unmistakeable odour of wheat, legumes and olives from times gone by.
To see:
the chapel of the Madonna which stands on the remains of that of the Visitazione of which remains only the medallion inscribed with the standard of the lamb, now visible in the bell tower. Worthy of note are the front of the chapel in neoclassical style and the tomb, dated 1855, found in the floor in the middle of the church.
